Minerals Help Low Blood Sugar Problems

Low blood sugar levels (hypoglycaemia) can be caused by poor diet and mineral deficiencies. Mild hypoglycaemia symptoms include headaches, hunger, low energy, irritability, sweating, shakiness, palpitations, anxiety, poor concentration, and feeling worse after exercise. Extreme hypoglycaemia may include confusion, blurred vision, seizures, and loss of consciousness. Very low blood sugar levels are common in people with poorly controlled diabetes; such as when too much medication is taken to lower the high blood sugar levels of diabetes. The minerals Magnesium and GTF (Glucose Tolerance Factor) Chromium and certain herbs help to maintain stable blood sugar levels.

I frequently see people with mild hypoglycaemia, often they have mistakenly tried the logical solution of eating sweet food, unfortunately this helps only temporarily; as an hour or two later the same symptoms return.

Sugar is not a cure, although raises blood sugars it brings the sugars too high for your body. In response your body produces a lot of insulin so the blood sugar levels plummet.

To avoid swings of high and low blood sugar levels avoid all sweet sugary foods and foods. So no refined food such as white bread and white rice, no cakes, lollies, ice cream, biscuits, fruit juices or soft drinks.

Magnesium and GTF Chromium are needed to help stabilise both low and high blood sugar. Every time you eat sweet food you use up these minerals. Sugar cravings indicate you are depleted in these minerals. Use Entire Katoa Food State supplements for increased absorption and effect. A study demonstrated Food State GTF Chromium was almost 3 times more effective in reducing blood sugar levels compared to another form. Antioxidants make GTF Chromium even more effective. Protein and good quality fats also help stabilise your blood sugar levels.
