Natural Relief For Urinary
Problems If you are unfortunate enough to suffer from a
urinary tract problem, this is the time of year where a great natural remedy for
urinary tract problems grows in abundance. Urinary tract problems include infection and
irritation in the bladder; you may experience discomfort or pain when passing
urine. If these problems persist or if you get severe pain or blood in your
urine; seek professional help as more serious problems need urgent
attention. Corn silk is the part of the cob of sweet corn
that you normally throw away. It is the fine silky threads found under the green
leaves of sweet corn. Fresh corn silk is a great remedy to soothe urinary
problems. Take a handful of fresh corn silk in a teapot, pour on boiling water,
cover then let it infuse for 10 minutes. You can drink it hot or put cold. You
can use dried corn silk though fresh is best.
Try also making homemade barley water. Boil pot
barley then use the (cooled) water it has been cooked in, this helps alkalise
the urine; it is quite different to shop bought barley water. Fresh berry juices
have also been shown to help, especially cranberry juice; but check labels to
ensure the juice is pure berry, not mixed with other fruits making it too sweet
and acidic. Research shows by increasing your protein,
Vitamin E, Vitamin C, and bio plain yoghurt you can combat urinary problems.
Studies show a processed, high salt diet and over eating can cause urinary
problems. If supplements are used I recommend the Entire Katoa Food State
supplements for the best
absorption. |
